Choosing a Degree that Works for You
The first step in choosing your degree is to do a little research on yourself. What is the
most fun thing you like to do? What will draw your attention like a flame to a moth? What experiences do you have?
What is that one thing that you always dreamed of doing or being? Working in a career that you really enjoy would
most likely guarantee your success, in school, and in the work place. Never, never get stuck in a job or career
that you hate.
The best way to answer the questions above is to think back to your childhood. Were you, or are you, the type of
person who always enjoyed taking things apart, and perhaps putting them back together? Sometimes you put things
back together in a new and improved way? This attribute shows that you are more incline to something in
Engineering. If the things you took apart were electrical or electronic, then maybe your focus should be Electronic
Engineering. However, your grades have to match your desire.
The same holds true for all the degrees mentioned above. If you like healing people, then something in the
medical field is best for you. If you like animals then zoology or veterinary is best for you. Whatever it is, take
your time and get it right.
